I'm sick and tired of racial opportunist like President Obama, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and (it pains me to say it) Sophia, who like to turn EVERY circumstance into an issue on race. Both Obama and Sophia were quick to label officer Crowley a racist despite not having ANY facts at the time, and Sophia took it one step further by implying that the white officer was somehow stupid because he was just a cop who didn't exist within the elite circles of a Harvard proffessor. It's reactions like this that do more harm than good and I for one think Obama ( and Sophia) owe Crowley an apology.

As far as this latest article, did it ever occur to Sophia that 30 years ago we had a cultural shift where it was finally o.k for women to be something other than a home-maker or stay-at-home mom. It's easier to climb the coorporate ladder when your not at home changing diapers, cooking, and cleaning house. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that white women are doing well in this economy, look at the college attendence and graduation rates for white women and you will clearly see why.

As far as unemployment rates being higher for blacks and minorities; again look at the high school drop out rates for blacks as compared to whites. Look at the percentage of whites who attend college as opposed to blacks and minorities. Look at the unbelievably high rates of children born out of wedlock and raised by single teen mothers in the black community( i realize that this is a problem for both black and white, but it is particularly high for blacks). Bill Cosby is right on the money with this issue but unfortunately for some the truth hurts and the message not always welcome.

I have to go, but I would just say that affirmative action is in and of itself a racist policy that ought to be abolished. Any policy that would give preference to a certain race or gender is the complete antithesis of racial equality!
