Electing the first president of african ancestry, as awe inspiring as it is, does not mean that this country is post-racial. Although, with each generation, there's been significant strides to live out the true meaning of this nation's creed, we still haven't arrived. I agree that we must talk about our " individual and collective fears and biases out in the open", but without fear of reprisal from each other.

While, black folks have made progress, there is still much to be done in this country.
